A little help choosing

How do I choose the right Mary Jane style?

Start with the look. Then compare the details that matter to you: heel, color, finish and fit.

01 / Shape

Decide how much heel you want.

Look at the side-view photographs as well as any listed measurement: the shape of the heel changes how the shoe looks with your outfit. A lower heel alone does not tell you how a pair will feel.

02 / Color

Choose contrast or continuity.

White against a dark skirt makes the shoe stand out. A similar color from hem to shoe gives a quieter effect. Compare the product photographs in the shade you plan to order; screen settings and lighting can change how color appears.

03 / Finish

Look closer at the details.

Straps, trims, color combinations and finishes create different looks, and materials can differ between colors of the same style. Check the details on the product page for the exact color you choose.

04 / Fit

Leave room for a fit question.

If you are between sizes or have a width concern, ask J.Adams about that specific style before ordering. Tell us which pair you’re considering and what you’d like to know.

05 / The occasion

Keep your plans in mind.

Think about your outfit, how much standing or walking you expect, and the surface you will be on. Photographs and measurements help you compare; they cannot guarantee how a pair will feel on your feet.
